The Rapperswil "Christkindlimärt" is a magical Christmas world set in the medieval old town of Rapperswil-Jona, and it takes place from Thursday to Sunday. The Grand Christmas Market From December 11 – 14, Rapperswil’s Old Town is transformed into an enchanting Christmas world, featuring around 200 market stalls. Extending from the lake via Marktgasse to the main square, for three days it is one of the largest Christmas markets in Switzerland. The Advent Village On the weekends before and after the grand Christmas market (Thursday – Sunday), the "Christkindlimärt" makes a guest appearance in a somewhat smaller but no less festive framework in the area around the harbor and on Fischmarktplatz.
