CONFERENCE | With Ph.D. Nicoletta Fornara, Valerio Jalongo, Lorenzo Patocchi - Mercato Coperto, Giubiasco How is AI redefining the boundaries between human thought, creativity and ethics, transforming the way we understand, learn and make sense of the world? Nicoletta Fornara (USI) will analyse how artificial intelligence tools, based on probabilistic models, generate meaning for the user without actually understanding it, focusing on the way teachers and students use and evaluate them. Lorenzo Patocchi (Vivento Lab) will share his practical experience on how AI can improve work and daily life, combining innovation, ethics and creativity. Valerio Jalongo will recount the process of making the documentary Wider than the Sky, exploring how the development of artificial intelligence is raising new and urgent political, social and cultural issues that challenge our understanding of creativity and knowledge.
